Once again in 2014, top senior high school basketball players from the Greater Grand Rapids area in the OK Conferences will be honored to play in front of their hometown fans one final time.

The 8th annual High School All-Star games will be Wednesday, June 18 at Cornerstone University’s Mol Arena. The boys game will start at 7:00pm, and the girls game will kick off the night of hoops at 5:30pm. Tickets will be only $5.00 per person or a flat fee of $15 for families. Parking is free.

Teams were set following player nominations taken earlier this year with the following selection criteria: outstanding senior season; great character as endorsed by their coach and athletic director; and continuing in a collegiate sport.

The games are a part of a unique collaboration between rivals Cornerstone and Davenport athletic department personnel and their Champions of Character program.

The goal of the event is to raise $5000 to $7500 in support of the "Champions of Character Lecturing Initiative" in OK Conference schools where every player, coach, referee, parent, and spectator will commit back to the true spirit of competition through Respect, Integrity, Responsibility, Servant Leadership, and Sportsmanship.

The series is proud to have D & W and Family Fare as new presenting sponsors. Game sponsors include Farmer's Insurance, Rockford Construction, 5/3 Bank, and Celebration Cinema. Official sponsors include Metro Health Sports Med, Pepsi, and Buiten Insurance. This year’s Partner sponsor is the West Michigan Officials Association.
