The 10th-ranked Michigan Wolverines remained perfect in Big Ten play after a (75-66) win over Purdue last night at the Crisler Center.  Nik Stauskas led the Wolverines again with 16 points, Caris LeVert had a big game with 14 points and 11 rebounds, and freshman point guard Derrick Walton, Jr. added 14 points.  U-M is now (16-4) overall and (8-0) in the Big Ten, and will tip off against Indiana University in Bloomington on Sunday. 

The Red Wings return to the ice tonight when they host the Washington Capitals at the Joe.  Faceoff time is 7:30pm, and Detroit got some good news yesterday as goalie Jimmy Howard will be back between the pipes after missing four games with a sprained knee and captain Henrik Zetterberg will be a game-time decision with a lower back injury. 

In AHL action tonight, the Grand Rapids Griffins will host the Chicago Wolves at Van Andel Arena.  Pregame coverage with Larry Figurski on the call will start at 6:40pm - Faceoff is set for 7pm over on Newsradio WOOD 1300 and 106.9 FM. 

Former Tigers catcher Lance Parrish is returning to the organization and is expected to be named the manager of the Erie SeaWolves, Detroit's Double-A affiliate.  Parrish had previously been part of the Tigers' major-league coaching staff from 1999-2001 under Larry Parrish and Phil Garner and from 2003-2005 under Alan Trammell.
