The Detroit Lions along with the rest of the NFL teams released their 2014 schedules last night.  The Lions will welcome the NY Giants to town in Week One in the first game of a double header on Monday Night Football.  In Week Eight, Detroit travels to London to take on the Atlanta Falcons.  In their annual Thanksgiving game, the Lions will host Chicago, and then to end their season on December 28th., Detroit will travel to Lambeau Field to face the Packers. 

The Red Wings will try to even their first-round playoff series with the Boston Bruins tonight.  Faceoff time is 8pm at the Joe.  Also, yesterday Detroit recalled defenseman Xavier Ouellet from the Grand Rapids Griffins for the game. 

Marcus Semien hit the go-ahead grand slam in the seventh inning to power the Chicago White Sox past the Tigers (6-4) last night at Comerica Park.  Austin Jackson hit a two-run home run, and J.D. Martinez also knocked in two runs for Detroit.  The Tigers and White Sox close out their four-game series at Comerica Park this afternoon - First pitch is 1:08pm and Rick Porcello will get the start for Detroit. 

Michigan Wolverines offensive guard Graham Glasgow is facing a charge of drunken driving.  He is scheduled to be arraigned May 19th.  The 21-year-old was suspended for part of spring practice and the season opener against Appalachian State following the alleged incident last month. 

And in Midwest League action, the West Michigan Whitecaps were winners yesterday afternoon (5-4) over Bowling Green.  Those two teams will meet for the series finale tonight at 5\3rd. Ballpark - First pitch is scheduled for 6:35pm.
