The Detroit Tigers remained red hot last night with their 7th. consecutive win (11-4) over Houston.  Rookie Robbie Ray earned his first Major League win, giving up one run on five hits while striking out five in five and one third innings.  Miguel Cabrera went 4-for-5 at the plate with a solo home run and four RBI.  Tonight, Rick Porcello takes the mound for the Tigers while the Astros send Brad Peacock to the hill.  First pitch at Comerica Park is 7:08pm. 

In NHL news, Red Wings coach Mike Babcock is a finalist for the Jack Adams Award, given to the NHL 's best coach.  This season, Babcock led a young team with several injured stars to continue the Wings Stanley Cup playoff streak for a 23rd. straight year.  The other nominees this year are Colorado's Patrick Roy and Tampa Bay's John Cooper. 

We are now one day away from the Opening Round of the 2014 NFL Draft, and rumors are flying around on several top players.  Fox Sports' Jay Glazer is reporting that the Cleveland Browns will not select Johnny Manziel with the fourth-overall pick.  Glazer does not rule out the possibility of the Browns selecting Manziel with the 26th. pick later in the first round.  For the Lions, reports are now surfacing from Clemson WR - Sammy Watkins that he is going to be taken by the Detroit Lions somewhere tomorrow night, and don't forget that you can enter our ESPN 96.1 annual NFL Mock Draft Contest brought to you by Richard Engels Jewelers for your chance to win Lions tix and a custom made watch.  Don't forget the entry deadline is tomorrow night by 8pm.
