After a day off, the Tigers are back at it tonight beginning a six-game homestand at Comerica Park against Toronto.  Detroit is coming off a weeklong west coast swing where it went (3-4) against Oakland and Seattle. Tonight Anibal Sanchez will get the start against the Blue Jays Drew Hutchison....first pitch is 7:08pm. 

Former Miami Dolphins quarterback Dan Marino is among 15 players filing a federal lawsuit against the NFL.  The suit claims the league concealed the risk of concussions among other allegations. 

The Detroit Lions are continuing organized team activities at their Allen Park this week.  Defensive tackle Nick Fairley returned to the field yesterday, but has not been cleared to fully participate in practice as he recovers from a surgical procedure for sleep apnea. 

The Detroit Pistons may be closer to finding a new general manager.  According to reports, Detroit is working on a deal to hire Jeff Bower.  Bower resigned last night from his position as head coach of Marist College after one season.  He was GM of the New Orleans franchise from 2005-2010.  Stu Jackson and Scott Layden were also reported to be in the running for the job. 

And lastly, the Whitecaps lost in Ft. Wayne last night (4-3).  They are off today before opening a six-game homestand themselves at Fifth-Third Ballpark tomorrow night against the Great Lakes Loons.  7pm-First pitch.
