L.J. Hoes and Jon Singleton each knocked in two runs yesterday to help the Houston Astros defeat the Tigers again (6-4) at Minute Maid Park. The NBA free agency period also begins tomorrow, and the "Detroit Free Press" is reporting that the Detroit Pistons have $13.5 million dollars to spend this summer. Center Greg Monroe is among the Pistons players needing a new contract, and he might sign a qualifying offer for $5.4 million dollars and become an unrestricted free agent after next season.
