Not one, not two, now three tornados in the early morning hours of July 7th. National Weather Service now confirms a third tornado touched down in west Michigan.

The third tornado produced winds near 80 miles per hour, touched down at 12:34 a.m. near S. Pline Road just south of E. Kimball Road in Lyons Township, east of Ionia. NWS says it moved northeast for about a quarter of a mile, crossing Stoney Creek Road, and ended south of M-21. Four buildings were damaged in the twister, including two farm buildings and two homes that lost roofing.

The other tornados that day were the EF-1 tornado that touched down in Kentwood and Wyoming and the EF-0 that touched down in Ionioa County just north of I-96 just west of S. Keefer Highway.
