Four tornadoes hit northern Michigan on Labor Day.

The National Weather Service confirmed that twisters touched down in Cheboygan, Otsego, Kalkaska and Crawford counties.

Meteorologists say three were EF-1 tornadoes with winds estimated in excess of 100 mph, and one was an EF-0 and had winds estimated at 80 mph.

Damage was mostly to trees and a few homes.
