General Motors is recalling 29-thousand 2013-2014 Chevrolet Cruze cars because of defective airbags.

The move comes after the automaker stopped the sale of the vehicles earlier this week until they could determine how many cars had the faulty parts. The affected airbags could rupture during a crash, causing the bag to not fully inflate and metal fragments to hit occupants in the vehicle.

GM will replace all driver's side airbags in the recall vehicles.
