A package of proposed laws was introduced to the state House yesterday, with Walker state Representative Rob VerHeulen saying the idea is get a start on "structural changes" for the way government pays for roads.

His proposal starts with $450 million dollars next year, then expands to $500 million after that.

He also says the government will demand "warranties" from road builders with the expectation that what is built, will be built well, and will last.
