Catholic Central High School said Wednesday it's distributing iPads to each of its students to facilitate the learning experience.
As part of what the school has dubbed the Leaders 2 Leaders initiative, the school said it's distributing iPads to every student for this upcoming school year.
Principal Greg Deja says the program is modeled after an initiative led by Catholic educator Eugene Gan. Gan's vision for technology is to use it to enrich education, not replace the real-world learning experience, he said.
"It is important that we cultivate more creative and innovative students who use their conscience as much as technology to embrace the challenges of tomorrow," Deja said.
The school in its statement offered no estimate on the cost associated with supplying the devices to students.
