The West Michigan Whitecaps say former Tigers outfielder Craig Monroe is slated to make an appearance at the stadium next week.
In the last Tiger Friday of the regular season, the low-A affiliate says it's giving out Monroe bobble-head dolls to the first 1,000 fans that enter the gates.
Monroe spent three seasons with the Toledo Mudhens, the AAA affiliate, before moving on to the big leagues. In six combined full seasons with the Tigers, "C-Mo" hit 101 homers and handed in a team batting average of .234, with a high-water mark of .293 in 2004.
Monroe is scheduled for an interview to be broadcast Friday on our sister station, ESPN 96.1 FM
