The U-S Army Corps of Engineers will distribute $25 million more for Great Lakes navigation projects, including funding to help address the backlog of dredging projects in the Great Lakes. The increase comes in addition to funding for Great Lakes harbor maintenance from the $200 million dollars allocated in the current omnibus budget bill, approved by Congress in January. Among the Michigan harbors to receive additional funding, Grand Haven, Cheboygan, Leland, St.Joseph and the St. Mary's River
