The two lesbians who filed the lawsuit attacking Michigan's constitutional definition of marriage were the Grand Marshals in the Grand Rapids Gay Pride parade yesterday.

WOOD TV showed April DeBoer and Jayne Rowse riding in the back of a pickup truck with children.  The pair had insisted in federal court that they be allowed to adopt each other's kids.

The two were part of the crowd on the Calder Plaza afterward.

Although the federal court judge ruled in thier favor, the state government has appealed and the case is pending now, while Michigan's Constitution continues to define marriage as a man/woman thing only.
