Bricks and building materials were strewn across several streets in Downtown Napa and unconfirmed reports of injuries surfaced online  Sunday morning following a powerful earthquake centered just south of town.

The Magnitude 6.0 earthquake at 3:20 a.m. caused significant damage to several historic brick buildings in the city. The true extent of the wreckage could not be assessed before daybreak, but reports of damage to the Justice building and other masonry-constructed structures were being phoned in to the KCBS newsroom
