The Michigan State Police and Secretary of State were the only two agencies to get a favorable rating in a University of Michigan survey.

Local officials surveyed by the university assessed the performance of 14 state departments and agencies.

The Environmental Quality and Transportation received the lowest mark with a poor rating. The Michigan State Police and the Secretary of State were the only two agencies that received an overall positive assessments from legislators.

In terms of policymakers themselves, Gov. Rick Snyder received support from 52 percent of those surveyed. Less than a third of the respondents who took part in the survey rated state leaders as good or excellent.
