Gasoline prices are on their way up today.

WOOD Radio's GasPrice Watch shows many stations are increasing prices to 3-89 a gallon. Patrick DeHaan at Gasbuddy dot com tells WOOD radio today's increase has less to do with wholesale prices -- and more about gas station profits.

"Profit margins are wafer-thin, if those stations are even making a profit at $3.48, which they probably aren't. This is more about restoring prices to a point where it is healthy for gas stations."

DeHaan says if you can find prices around 3-50, stop for gas.

"Prices are going to be rising 41 cents a gallon. Even if you can only afford ten gallons, you'll save almost four bucks."
