Muskegon Heights public schools has not found any company responding to its request to manage the school system.

One must be found, and be under contract, by July in order for the Heights schools to continue.

The emergency manager tells WOOD TV they "learned a lot" from the last two years with the unsatisfactory Mosaica contract and admits the school board can not do the job itself.

The main goal is to shave expenses or, as manager Greg Weatherspoon put it, "take Lincoln off the penny."
