Published reports indicate that the condo association at the big Plaza Towers building along the river, downtown in Grand Rapids, is suing city hall for the flooding in the spring of 2013.

It's not that the  Plaza Towers Condominium Association believes city government is responsible for an act-of-God.

But the lawsuit says the city is responsible for cutting through the floodwall to make pedestrian access to a riverside walkway, and  that let the water pour into the Plaa Towers' basement parking garage.

WOOD TV says 1,000 people had to be evacuated from their condos for two weeks.
