A campaign finance watchdog says $10 million has been spent this year on TV ads in the Michigan governor's race through Labor Day. Democratic challenger Mark Schauer's campaign and his allies spent more than $5.6 million airing ads. Republican Gov. Rick Snyder's re-election campaign and his allies spent nearly $4.4 million, according to the Michigan Campaign Finance Network.
