The Michigan State Police at the Wayland Post is currently investigating a found jawbone that was located washed up along Lake Michigan.

The partial jawbone was found along Lake Michigan near West Side Park, which is near 121st Ave in Ganges Township/Allegan County.    A jogger discovered the jawbone while running along the beach.  A further search of the area by the State Police failed to locate any more bones.

The partial jawbone still has three teeth attached, with two of them containing fillings.  By the degree of deterioration it appears the jawbone has been in the water for quite some time.

The jawbone has been sent into the lab for testing, in the hope of identifying the subject.
