Michigan ranks 14th on the list of the best teenage drivers in America. 

The list was compiled by WalletHub.com, which ranks New York at the top and the state of South Dakota at the bottom.  

At Jungle Survival Drivers Training in Grand Rapids, Randy Rand tells WOOD Radio that our state government focuses on training new drivers, but he says parents have the biggest influence on how our kids drive. 

He says young drivers  learn and participate in  the bad habits they are exposed to, like texting behind the wheel, speeding, and not paying attention to everything on the road.
