Paw Paw, MI (WOOD TV)  A section of I-94 is shut down in both directions in Van Buren County due to pileup involving semi-trucks.

The closure, which includes the eastbound and westbound lanes, is located between mile marker 52 and mile marker 60, which is the Paw Paw exit.

Six people were injured in the pileup, which occurred on I-94′s eastbound lanes, according to Van Buren County Central Dispatch.

Westbound I-94 between County Rf 365 exit 52 and M-40 exit 60 was announced open per the Michigan Department of Transportation around 10 p.m. Monday. Eastbound I-94 remains closed.

That wreck that closed down I-94 last night finally was cleared-up around 3:30 this morning, and the Interstate re-opened.

Last night, 40 vehicles piled up along a four mile stretch of I-94 between the Decatur and Lawrence exits, west of Paw Paw.

WOOD TV reports six people were hurt. Nobody died. About the half vehicles involved were semi-trucks and the Sheriff's office said it was a jackknifed semi that started the mess
