Four days from now is the deadline when the Muskegon Heights schools closes the application period as it looks to hire a new management company.

So far, no one has applied.

The school system's Emergency Manager continues to say he expects several applications.

Greg Weatherspoon also told WOOD TV that, even though the new company will be responsible for some building rehab expenses in addition to teaching the students, there is "no stash of cash" for that.

He says the board will have to be creative.
