Headed out of town this weekend and you'll join more than 1 million other people in the state, but there's plenty to do here.

Most road construction projects are on hold for the long holiday weekend and low gas prices might entice people to hit the road. AAA said it's supposed to be one of the busiest travel weekends in a few years.

If you're staying home, there's plenty of things to do - even if it rains.

Starting 2pm Friday, there's a beer tour for charity at Harmony Brewing in the East Hills neighborhood. Called the Brewers Grove project, the event raises money for tree planting in the area. Last year, the effort resulted in 30 new trees at Riverside Park.

Fan of jazz? There's plenty on tap for much of the weekend. Tonight at 7 p.m., the sounds get under way at Mongiamo's.

Tomorrow, it's running of the bulls, but on roller skates downtown in the restaurant district.
