About 75 people showed up at the Holland Township planning commission meeting last night to complain that they do not want a new truck stop in their neighborhood.

Howdever  the Holland Sentinel says the Township considers it a done-deal; the property is zoned highway commercial.

Love's Truck Stops has plans to build just off the interstate at the Adams Street interchange.

The newspaper says many of those opposed live more than 300 feet away from the proposed project and, as a result of the state law, were not notified of February's public comment session.
