The University of Michigan student body will be treated to a visit from the Commander in Chief Wednesday.

President Barack Obama will be making a appearance at U of M and according to University spokesman Rick Fitzgerald, the focus will be on an issue that has become controversial in recent months, his proposal for an increase in minimum wage.

The event is set to take place inside the Intramural Sports Building and will be restricted to U-M students only.

Fitzgerald said those attending are encouraged to arrive early. Tickets can be purchased with a student ID on Tuesday at the student union on a first come, first serve basis.
