Consumers Engery is planning to cut power to nearly 4,400 customers in Grandville and Wyoming for about an hour this evening for repairs.

WOOD TV says the outages are set to be in the area bordered by Lee Street Street on the north, Burlingame Avenue on the east, 44th Street on the south and Wilson Street on the west.

Consumers says the outage should start around 7 p.m. and is expected to take between 45 minutes and an hour. About 4,366 customers should be affected.

The power is being turned off so crews can “safely perform emergency repairs” on a substation, Consumers says.
