Democratic senatorial candidate U.S. Representative Gary Peters continues to lead Republican candidate Terri Lynn Land, according to a new poll.

The survey conducted by Lansing-based EPIC/MRA shows Peters leads Land 45-percent to 39-percent, respectively. Peters 6-point advantage is down from a July EPIC/MRA poll when he enjoyed a 9-point margin.The poll also found that 28-percent of voters had a favorable view of Peters and 24-percent unfavorable compared to 33-percent favorable and 37-percent unfavorable for Land.

The survey of 600 likely voters was conducted from August 22 to August 25. It has an error margin of plus or minus 4-percentage points.
