It's not just an issue for the distant future.
According to a new federal scientific report, global warming is already causing violent storms and other weather hazards for the United States. And it concludes that the effects will ``become increasingly disruptive across the nation throughout this century and beyond.''
Josh Leffingwell, spokesperson for the West Michigan Enviromental Action Council tells WOOD Radio we are already seeing the effects of climate change in west Michigan.
"More and more wet springs. The summers will be hotter and drier. The temperatures will increase. It is not just about global warming, its more about the volatility of the weather. We saw it last year with the big floods."
