The Speaker of the state House is no more optimistic than the Senate's Majority Leader about getting any agreement on ways to come up with money for the roads.
Monday, Senate Majority Leader Randy Richardville said, "Let's get started fixing the damn roads!", expressing his frustration over Senators' reluctance to support any plan.
It is five months before the election, and some lawmakers have taled about hiking taxes, but Michigan House Speaker Jase Bolger Tuesday said no one has developed a plan.
Bolger says it is possbile some kind of compromise could be reached in the next two days, but going away for the summer break is the priority.
