Michigan's DOT is thinking of changing the look of the US-31 through the city of Holland.

As MDOT will resurface the highway, starting next year, the Holland Sentinel reports it also will try to make the road "represent the community," as the City Manager is quoted.

Reportedly, Ryan Cotton and city council members look with envy at the grassy medians and the boulevard feel to US-31 as it cuts through Grand Haven to the north.

Holland and Holland Township, as well, want the same kind of bumper curbs, and well-developed crosswalks.
