The Michigan Supreme Court has removed Wayne County Circuit Judge Wade McCree from office.

McCree, who presided in the 3rd Circuit, is best known for sending a shirtless photo of himself to his colleagues.

The state's highest court ordered McCree’s removal from office Wednesday and further suspended him for six more years if he’s re-elected in November. In 2012, the state Supreme Court publicly censured McCree for his behavior following a recommendation from the Judicial Tenure Commission.

The Commission said McCree's actions breached judicial standards with misconduct in office, irresponsible or improper conduct which erodes public confidence and a lack of personal responsibility.

According to a complaint issued by the Commission, McCree entered into a relationship with a woman who had a child custody case in his court and he did not excuse himself from the case.
