Students at Belding Middle and High Schools will be getting out 15 minutes early today and some buses won’t travel down some roads due to icy conditions.
WOOD TV reports Belding Area Schools Superintendent Sara Shriver sent out a note Friday to alert parents of the changes, citing the Greenville Public Schools bus accident early Friday – which was in a neighboring district – and increasingly icy conditions.
"Safety of our students continues to be our first priority," Shriver said in the note. "We truly appreciate our bus drivers who have the enormous task of transporting our students safely to and from school each and every day."
Elementary school students in Belding will be dismissed at their usual time.
