Today the State Department of Education, Michigan Department of Community Health and the American Heart Association  highlighted 40 schools across Michigan for their cardiac preparedness.

Two of the inaugural HEARTSafe honorees are in Grand Rapids (Innovation Central High and Kent Vocational Options). Others in the Kent ISD include Kent Career Technical Center, Kent Transitions Center and Cedar Springs High School.

Fennville High is another in the WOOD Radio listening area on this list.
