Two-thirds of likely Michigan voters support an increase of Michigan's minimum wage from the current $7.40 to $10.10 per hour, according to a new statewide poll.

The survey, released by Lambert, Edwards and Associates and conducted by Denno Research, shows 65 percent supporting the initiative, and 32 percent opposing.

Three percent are undecided.

The poll has a margin of sampling error of plus or minus four percentage points.

Pollster Dennis Denno says 85 percent of Democratic voters support the increase and 40 percent of Republicans support it.

Further, 65-percent of independents support the increase.
