It looks as if they are ready to fall down. Grand Rapids city engineers say that is exactly what will happen eventually to two buildings on S. Division.

WOOD TV reports there is "an underlying soil issue located immediately beneath the two buildings located at 35 and 41 S. Division that is causing significant structural problems to the Division side of the structure."

The Grand Rapids Historic Preservation Commission said they will decide whether or not to allow these buildings to be torn down at a public hearing Wednesday night.

The public hearing will take place at 5 p.m. Wednesday at the Development Center, public meeting room 201, located at 1120 Monroe Avenue in Grand Rapids.
