Posted May 16th, 2014 @ 12:08pm by Chuck LaTour

Heart of West Michigan United Way announced the results of its 2013 fundraising campaign.

Heart of West Michigan President and CEO Maureen Noe tells WOOD Radio this year’s campaign raised $12,001,000 to support health and human service programs in Kent County... a little shy of their goal

"Does it matter at the end of the day?  Absolutely not because the money that was raised will truly make a difference here in Kent County and that is what matters."

Over the past 20 years, this community has contributed more than $282 million to United Way campaigns, allowing us to help hundreds of thousands of people in Kent County.
