The West Michigan Whitecaps announced tickets for their playoff season went on sale to the public Tuesday.

More than 5,000 fans packed into 5/3 Ballpark for the final game of the season. Nine hits in a rain-delayed game weren't enough to push the Whitecaps over the Great Lakes Loons in the 3-1 loss.

Game 1 of the playoffs for low-A ball starts with an away game at Fort Wayne. Game 2 in the best-of-three series is at home Thursday.

Single-game tickets open to the public Tuesday.

The Whitecaps full-season attendance of 391,653 was the highest ever in more than a decade.
