Police say a 32 year old Nunica woman caused last evening's wrong way crash on I-96 near Nunica.  They say 32 year old Heather Luke used a highway turn around to start traveling west in the east bound lanes.

She plowed into a mini van being driven by a 52 year old man.  He was trapped in his burning vehicle and officials will have to use dental records to make a positive ID.

It took firefighters an hour or more to cut Luke out of her vehicle.  She was flown to Spectrum Health's Butterworth Campus in Grand Rapids where she was listed in critical condition.

The freeway didn't reopen until midnight.
