Eight-Year-Old Boy Is YouTube's Highest Earner With $26 Million

Ryan Kaji

For the second year in a row, the highest income earner on YouTube is a kid. Eight-year-old Ryan Kaji, whose channel Ryan's World has over 23 million subscribers, held onto the top spot, raking in $26 million in 2019. The young star rose to fame with his "unboxing" videos, in which he would open up presents and comment on what was inside. Now, Ryan offers his expert advice on toys in daily videos he uploads to his channel.

He earned $4 million more this year, and held off Dude Perfect, who came in second place with $20 million. Dude Perfect is a group of five guys in their thirties who play sports and perform crazy stunts.

Anastasia Radzinskaya, a five-year-old girl from Russia who has cerebral palsy, came in third place, earning $18 million making videos with her father about her daily life.

Pewdiepie, who has topped the list in the past, fell to seventh place on the list, along with Markiplier, earning $13 million.

The annual list is compiled by Forbes and looks at pre-tax income from sponsored content, advertisements, merchandise sales and tours.
