ODESSA TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- The Ionia County Sheriff's Office is investigating a car/train crash in Odessa Township.
It happened around 4:40 p.m. near the intersection of Huddle Road and Jordan Lake Street. Investigators say the northbound car was struck by the eastbound train.
The 20-year-old Lake Odessa man who was driving the car was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
The incident remains under investigation.

The Ionia County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Lake Odessa Police Department, Lake Odessa Fire Department, Life EMS, Ionia County Central Dispatch, Corewell Health Aero Med Transport and Reed & Hoppes Towing.
