A cyclist in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, had a narrow escape during a powerful storm on Tuesday (August 27) when a large tree fell in his path. The incident, which occurred near 61st Street and Thurston Avenue, was captured on a doorbell camera. The footage shows the tree bringing down power lines and causing sparks to fly as it hits the ground.
Despite crashing into the tree, the cyclist was able to walk away from the incident unharmed.
Fred Powers, a local resident, described the dramatic scene to WISN.
"It pulled out the ground. The whole roots. I'm tellin' you, I heard a boom; shook the whole house. It cut off all the power," he told the news station.
The storm caused widespread power outages in the area, affecting hundreds of residents. The incident serves as a stark reminder of the dangers posed by severe weather conditions.
