"Thunderbolts" Tops Box Office with $33 Million in Second Weekend

"Thunderbolts'" kept the top spot at the box office, taking in $33.1 million in its second weekend at North American theaters, according to industry estimates released today. The latest Marvel superhero adventure was directed by Jake Schreier and features an ensemble cast that includes Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan,Wyatt Russell, Olga Kurylenko, Lewis Pullman, Wendell Pierce, David Harbour and Julia Louis-Dreyfus.

"Sinners'" continued its strong run, with $21 million in its fourth weekend at theaters in the United States and Canada, Comscore reported. "A Minecraft Movie" was third for the second straight week, with $7.9 million Friday through Sunday in its sixth week of release. "The Accountant 2" was fourth with $6 million in its third weekend, followed by "Clown in a Cornfield," which opened with $3.6 million.

Rounding out the top 10 domestic releases were "Shadow Force" ($2.01 million), "Fight or Flight" ($2.001 million), "Until Dawn" ($2 million), "The Amateur" ($1.1 million) and :The King of Kings" ($680,656).
