GRAND RAPIDS (WOOD-AM) - Sentencing has been delayed for a man who was found guilty of sexually assaulting girls while working as a dance and gymnastics coach due to a possible conflict of interest.

It was learned that one of 50-year-old Shannon Guay's alleged victims is friends with the judge's son.

The defense has requested that Joseph Rossi be disqualified from sentencing.

Guay remains in custody.
