A man was killed in a Thursday evening crash in Sherman Township.
It happened around 9:30 PM last night. Deputies with the Newaygo County Sheriff’s Office were sent to Baldwin Avenue near Ridge Road for a crash.
There they learned that a vehicle had left the roadway and hit some trees. The 68-year-old driver from Fremont was pinned inside the vehicle and died at the scene. The road had been closed for about two hours for deputies to investigate and clear the area.
The crash remains under investigation.
