GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. -- A woman is dead after allegedly being stabbed by a man who then turned the knife on himself Wednesday morning in downtown Grand Rapids.
It happened in the 300 block of South Division Avenue, which is south of Cherry Street and north of Wealthy Street.
Police say the man was taken to a hospital in critical condition. Division Avenue was closed in that area for a few hours while police investigated. They ask any witnesses to contact the GRPD or Silent Observer.
No names or ages had been released at the time of publication.
