KCSO investigates after pellets strike three vehicles in Caledonia Township

CALEDONIA TOWNSHIP, Mich. -- The Kent County Sheriff's Office says it is working diligently to find out who was responsible for shooting pellets at vehicles last Friday in Caledonia Township.

The KCSO said in a social media post that three vehicles were struck by the pellets in the late afternoon in the area of 76th Street and McCords Avenue.

No one was hurt, but the incidents have caused some fear in the community.

"KCSO understands the fear these incidents have inflicted on this community, and we are diligently working to find out who is responsible," the sheriff's office said in a public post.

Police say this is a good time for parents to remind children who own Air Soft guns about the need to use them safely and responsibly.

It asks that you contact its Investigative Division at 616-632-6125 or Silent Observer at 616-774-2345, if you have information that could bring closure to the victims and the community.
