“The event serves as a powerful tribute to the dedication, bravery, and sacrifices of our armed forces and their families,” said event organizer Jamal Steward. “It’s not just an event—it is a statement of respect and gratitude from our community to those who serve. Through our annual community event along the beautiful West Michigan lakeshore, we aim to inspire, support, and bring people together in gratitude and celebration.”

Here are more details from a CCE news release via Clark Communications:

The two-day event’s main features include:

Resource Fair

Aside from the drone performance, the event will feature a resource fair to create a unique platform for veterans to connect with life-changing resources and support networks. From informational booths to peer-to-peer networking opportunities with veteran service organizations, Steward is committed to ensuring that our nation’s heroes receive the assistance, recognition, and opportunities they deserve. Celebration of Service will also provide a community platform for veteran entrepreneurs where they will have a captive community audience to showcase their skill trades and business services. There will be food trucks and concessions for all attendees.

STEAM Activities

The event will feature hands-on STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) activities designed to inspire the next generation. With guidance from local educational leaders and military professionals, these interactive experiences will ignite curiosity and passion for skilled trades and engineering careers. Guest speakers from around the world will be speaking about various technologies and future opportunities in our digital age. By fostering a love for innovation and problem-solving, we aim to equip our generational youth with the tools they need for a stable and fulfilling future.

Drone & Tesla Car Show

Friday, June 20, at dusk: The Tesla vehicle light and drone show presented by the Tesla Owner Group of Michigan will amaze attendees in Michigan’s first-largest light and audio show with a synced Electric Vehicle and Aerial Drone performance.

Saturday, June 21 at dusk: Following live entertainment, a stunning aerial illuminated sky will light up the night with hand-built drones by Children of Fallen Heroes, displaying the patriotic heroism of our military veterans and active-duty service members.

The Celebration of Service would not be possible without the generosity of sponsors, whose support enables the organization to provide vital veteran resources, host STEAM activities that inspire young minds, and deliver a world-class electric vehicle and aerial display that draws thousands of spectators.

“By partnering with us, you’re not just sponsoring an event; you’re investing in veterans, youth, and the future of our communities,” Steward added. “We invite businesses, organizations, and individuals to join us in making this mission sustainable. Together, we can uplift, inspire, and honor those who have given so much for our freedom.”
