The Mobile GR Commission says the Downtown Area Shuttle, or DASH, saw a 105 percent increase in year-over-year ridership in January.
The commission says the increase in usage is due to two changes. Halfway through January 2024, the free shuttle increased service from five to seven days a week. The service also redesigned routes.
The new routes run clockwise and counterclockwise from the West Side to downtown. The service also runs later than other bus routes in the city.
